“You work on yourself and you hope for the best, but you only get better — you don’t get perfect.”

Annotation

There is nothing like the kind of friendship you can have with a person who endlessly inspires you. I've known Chrissy for years, but it's been over the last few that we've really discovered how much we have in common, and that time has been comprised of weekly calls and handwritten letters and a lot of reading each other's work and camping trips and burning sage and cedar and driving down long country roads reading poems about peaches to each other. It sounds like a love story, because it is in a way, and I am grateful just to know her. This is one of a dozen pieces I could pass off and promise that it will change you if you let it.
