Opening the drapes in the morning and watching the first sunlight of the day filter in through the window. Sitting down on my yoga mat with a cup of tea, not in my practice yet but just breathing in the steam from the cup, anticipating the breath and movement to come. Walking the dogs and pausing on a cliff to breathe in the ocean, waves crashing beneath me. Making a beautiful meal and waiting a second to devour it, everything perfect and colorful on my plate. Looking up from my computer to see my husband working on something, brow furrowed in contemplation, I notice how beautiful he is. You know when you see someone every day, and after a while you get used to their magnificence? Once a day or so I get that little revelation of "goddammit - how I love this man". It takes my breath away a little.
These moments might not be the big ones, the ones you celebrate or talk about... But they make up our days, these in-betweens. Pay attention to them and you'll see;
there are every day miracles happening all around.”
