Sometimes we pay so much attention to our enemies, we forget to watch our friends as well.
Vesper Lynd: You love me? James Bond: Enough to travel the world with you until one of us has to take an honest job... which I think is going to have to be you, because I have no idea what an honest job is.
[angrily to M] The job's done and the bitch is dead.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?
Who the hell do they think they are? I report to the Prime Minister, and even he's smart enough not to ask me what we do. Have you ever seen such a bunch of self-righteous, arse-covering prigs? They don't care what we do; they care what we get photographed doing. And how the hell could Bond be so…
The first thing you should know about us is... we have people everywhere.
[regarding James Bond] Everything he touches withers and dies.
It'd be a pretty cold bastard who didn't want revenge for the death of someone he loved.
When one's young, it seems very easy to distinguish between right and wrong. But, as one gets older, it becomes more difficult. The villains and the heroes get all mixed up.
Camille: How much did he want? James Bond: He wanted you, but I left the car as collateral. He'll get much more when he sells us out.
M: This is about trust. You said you weren't motivated by revenge. James Bond: I am motivated by my duty. M: No... I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go.
They say you're judged by the strength of your enemies.
M: If you could avoid killing every possible lead, it would be deeply appreciated. James Bond: Yes, ma'am. I'll do my best.
You know, I was just wondering what South America would look like if nobody gave a damn about coke or communism. It always impressed me the way you boys carved this place up.
When someone says 'we have people everywhere', you expect it to be hyperbole. Lots of people say that. Florists use that expression. It doesn't mean there's somebody working for them inside the bloody room! What is this organization, Bond? How can they be everywhere and we know nothing about them?
If they wanted his soul, they should have made a deal with a priest.
I couldn't give a shit about the CIA and their trumped-up evidence. Bond is my agent, and I trust him.
You should know something about me and the people I work with. We deal with the left or the right, with dictators or liberators. If the current president had been more agreeable, I wouldn't be talking to you. So if you decide not to sign, you will wake up with your balls in your mouth and your…
Take a deep breath. You only have one shot. Make it count.
