Bob Ross was an American painter, art instructor, and television host. He is most well-known for creating and hosting "The Joy Of Painting", a TV program that aired between 1983-1994, where he often painted landscapes using the wet-on-wet oil painting technique while teaching viewers how to paint, too. He has recently made an unlikely comeback as a postumous internet celebrity, with his laid-back approach and calm demeanor attracting both older and younger fans alike.
