COURAGE

I bought a key for myself at a time I really needed to be reminded to have courage. I am notorious for being a people pleaser and wanting everyone to like me - because if they don't, then I tend to believe that I must be wrong or have done something wrong.

My best friend was pregnant with her first and was terrified of labor (who wouldn't be?) She lives in Colorado and I'm in Ohio so we're not exactly near each other physically but we talk every day. I knew that giving her my key, though hard, was a good way to remind her that she is strong, brave and could deliver that baby. And it was a way for a small part of me to be with her when I couldn't be there myself.

She had her sweet little baby girl and I hope she remembers to have courage and will be the best mom for her daughter.”
